Greeks Super Awesome Music Challenge - Blogging Rules

You are one of the few, the mighty, the utterly insane that have been chosen to partake in this musicological social journey. Therefore, like any mind altering journey, to allow conclusions and journeys to occur, there need to be some rules in place. The when & how you should blog about your assigned artist is listed below. This is to let everybody know how your musical journey through the annals of one band's or one artist's mind and work has affected you. So, the rules are...

  • Creating the Blog Title - use this format "Artist Name" by "Your Name" - like this: "Black Flag by Leo Hernandez"
  • One blog post per artist per person once the full discography has been completed.

  • If you do an artist a second time, this is the only time you can post about the same artist twice and the above rule applies to the second time.
  • Comment freely on any post - yet constructively. Comments are moderated to keep spambots away, so don't feel bad when you post a comment and it says it's under review. This is for the blog's protection.
  • We're all good kids, but let's not be insulting when commenting. We're all sacrificing our time and putting our hearts into what we're writing. Let's keep it constructive and on the up and up.
  • We're dead serious about the last point. Anyone found to be using ANY hurtful words towards another member of the group in any post or comment will be duly removed and all comments and posts by this person will be removed. This includes insulting one's opinions, anything racist, bigoted, sexist, or anti-pretty much anything. We are tolerant, well adjusted adults. Let's act like it.
  • Also, sarcasm usually doesn't translate well when written, please be aware of a possible hurtful message when you're not trying to be.

Now, here are some recommendations if you're unfamiliar with blogging and/or article writing.
  • Favorite track from each album & why.
  • Track that surprised you the most & why.
  • What song or album touched you the most & why.
  • What song or album bored you & why.
  • What song or album inspired you the most to do something amazing?
  • Your recommendations for best and worst and must listens.
  • You can also let us know what pieces of side projects aren't worth getting into. For instance, with Neil Young, the Buffalo Springfield and CSNY were found to be optional and ancillary to the Neil Young Experience.
  • You can also let us know what side projects and live albums, film scores, etc. are a must.
  • Basically, a full report on your artist/band and how it affected you.

Enjoy and god speed, my elitist music snob brothers and sisters.
